A typed copy of the reference written by J Ewart, Medical Superintendent at Wellington Hospital for Nurse Mary Webb.
He writes that Mary had been a member of staff for three and a half years and during that time she invariably took first place at the examinations. In his opinion she was the very best nurse it was his pleasure to train and he has no hesitation in recommending her as a thoroughly reliable and competent nurse.
