Sidney Godfray testified to the exceptionally good talents and education that Mary had obtained. She trained at Wellington Hospital and passed the State Examination with distinction gaining first place. She had a thorough theoretical and practical knowledge of nursing and was highly conscientious in the performance of her duties. She had a kind and tactful manner and imparted pleasure and confidence to the patients. He believed Nurse Webb was fully competent to take charge of any Hospital. She was leaving to take up a position at Wellington Hospital. Dr Godfray finished by writing that he could not speak more highly of Nurse Webb and would recommend her with the greatest confidence.
