Brief Description
a. The reference is addressed to Nurse Mary Webb from the Matron of the Waipawa District Hospital, Waipukurau, N E Carston. Matron Carston testified to the merits of Mary especially as a medical and surgical nurse. She continues that Mary had worked at the hospital for 13 months and was most attentive to her patients and was thorough and reliable. She was blessed with a cheerful disposition which made her a favourite with fellow nurses and patients. The reference is dated 26 February 1906.
