Brief Description
The letter is written by Dora Webb to the Chairman of the School Committee, Makotuku.

In the letter Dora is applying for the post of Assistant Mistress in the Makotuku District School. She writes that she is 21 years old and has passed the Education Certificate, she had taught at Hukarere Native School in a relieving position, as the pupil teacher at the Ladies College, Napier and finally as the Assistant Teacher at Hukarere Native School. She has taught children in standard II. She is competent at teaching sewing and singing. If appointed she promises to be punctual and conscientious in the discharge of her duties.
