Brief Description
The letter is written by Mary Haydon Shouls, Mistress of the Protestant Native Girls' School, Hukarere, Napier, to Oswald Curtis.

In the letter Mary is providing a testimonial for Dora Webb who had worked at the school for three years in both the upper and lower classrooms and also had charge of girls for walking, Church and meals. She had obtained an educational certificate but was not gazetted through not having taught in a Board School. Miss Dora Webb would like to get employment where she will obtain more experience and opportunities for improvement. She is described as being strong and of a genial disposition and a trustworthy, reliable and valuable teacher.
