Brief Description
a. The letter is addressed Reverend Anthony Spur Webb from his son Arthur Webb, Trent College, England. The letter is dated 28 November 1879.
In the letter Arthur asks his mother and father to forward a letter to William Webb, his brother and asks about his health. He writes that he played in a match but they lost three goals to one, that he attended a Derby concert, that Jay got dead drunk on the stout given to each fellow after the concert was over, that there is a rage for chess and there has been a number of burglaries, however one boy has been locked up and his father has been consulted. He finishes with: Your affectionate son A E Webb.
b. The envelope is addressed to Reverend A S Webb, Stockingford Vicarage, Numeaton and is date stamped 28 and 29 November 1879.
