Brief Description
The letter is addressed Canon Webb from John Taylor, England. In the letter John Taylor writes that his son Ernest Taylor has been officiating as organist at Canon Webb's church in Gisborne. He conveys to Canon Webb his: deep gratitude for his unwarying kindness to his son. He deeply regrets that Canon Webb is resigning from his post necessitated by ill health. He hopes that his son's friends and acquaintances are of a high moral standing and of unblemished character and that the influences surrounding him should be decidedly elevated. John Taylor finishes by wishing Canon and Mrs Webb Happy Christmas.
