Brief Description
a. The letter is written by a Monsieur Le Brun, a staff member of Educational Institute, Cadogan Gardens, London, to Miss Paterson. The letter is written in French. Loosely translated the writer is affirming that Miss Paterson writes and is able to give lessons in the French language. At the bottom is a sentence written by A Roche, the Director of the Educational Institute verifying the statement made by Monsieur Le Brun. The letterhead reads: Educational Institute, Cadogan Gardens. The letter is dated 26 January 1854.
b. The envelope is addressed to Miss Paterson, 24 Sydney Street, Brompton and is stamped 27 January 1854. It has a red seal at the flap.
