The letter was written by Alice Webb to Mr Manson on 20 October 1937 and is addressed Todlaw, Ormondville. Alice writes to Mr Manson stating that she received his letter and asks him why he would be surprised that he has to repay the money on the loan he owes her which ran out years ago. She has not asked for the money before as she knew he was in financial difficulties at the time. The end of the letter is missing.
