Brief Description
The letter is written to Mr Bob Quinlan, Te Awamutu from the Napier Fire Board dated 17 July 1968. The letter is signed by W L Gray, Secretary of Napier Fire Board. He discusses the future of the Ahuriri Brigade, fondly known as the Spit Brigade, and the closure of the Ahuriri sub-station. He also asks whether the Spit Fire Brigade can remain as an independent unit. Stapled to the letter is the reply from Bob Quinlan, dated 2 September 1968.
