Brief Description
The teaching card is about playing musical instruments. Underneath the picture are instructions addressed to the student to write a story and describe what is happening. This is followed by questions and a suggestion of words that could be used. The aim of the card was to teach grammar and the composition of sentences. The card originally belonged to Margaret Rona Gillies who was a teacher at Turiroa Primary School, Wairoa in 1928 - 1930.
Written on the back are the names of the children who took the card home for homework. Jean Osler is one of the children's names.
