Brief Description
The teaching card is about a water lily leaf and a tiny girl. Underneath the picture are instructions addressed to the student to write a story about what is happening. This is followed by suggestions of words that could be used. The aim of the card was to teach grammar and the composition of sentences. The card originally belonged to Margaret Rona Gillies who was a teacher at Turiroa Primary School, Wairoa in 1928 - 1930.
