Brief Description
The teaching card is titled: The Burdock. Underneath the essay are instructions addressed to the student suggesting they pretend to be a burdock and and to write a story about it. The aim of the card was to teach grammar and the composition of sentences. The card originally belonged to Margaret Rona Gillies who was a teacher at Turiroa Primary School, Wairoa in 1928 - 1930.
