Airmail letter from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 24 April 1945.

Bernard writes about leaving camp soon, getting gear ready for a move, continuing his diet, a visit to Bari to pick up some items for home, the black market in Italy, going to the opera, speculation about Pat being liberated as a POW from Magdeburg camp and receiving letters from others.

Addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a postage stamp, censor's stamp and 3 pence postal stamp.
