Bernard writes about his operation and recovery, having leave on base camp, possibly heading back to the Middle East for recovery, receiving mail from home, a shooting in Napier, Bill visiting him and heading back to base soon and not yet receiving any photographs.
Addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censor's stamp, postage stamp and 3 pence stamp.
