Brief Description
Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 24 May 1944.

a) Bernard writes about receiving mail from home, rumours that individuals in the Pacific, like Ray, may start coming home, seeing another opera, meeting Polish troops in the area and describing events with them, not hearing from Bill but receiving a letter from Dick, Ray Munroe paying him a visit and replying to an incident about Lola and her partner.

Written on YMCA/National Patriotic Fund Board/On Active Service letterhead.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censor's stamp and postage stamp. Written on YMCA letterhead.
