Brief Description
Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 2 April 1944.

a) Bernard writes about getting out of hospital, not being as fit as he used to be after being in hospital for so long, area around the current camp, weather in the region, attending a Palm Sunday Mass, seeing films on spare time, a letter each for Louisa and Noeline, receiving letters from home, comments on Ray's latest letter to him, Bonisch and another individual possibly going back to New Zealand and asks after members of the family.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a postage stamp and censor's stamp. Signed by Bernard Madden acknowledging the prerequisites of sending post.
