Brief Description
Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 30 November 1943.

a) Bernard writes about his unit moving into Italy, weather in the country, experiences with vendors, the make up of their camp which has been set up on an estate, the supply situation, that there is no word from Bill, Dick making the trip to Italy with him, O'Rourke staying in Maadi as a driving instructor and wishing the family well.

Written on New Zealand YMCA/National Patriotic Fund Board/On Active Service letterhead.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a postage stamp and censor's stamp. Listed as On Active Service.
