Brief Description
Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 1 November 1943.

a) Bernard writes about his aircraft identification course finishing, Dick leaving hospital and Bonisch arriving back from a patrol, Ray being sent to the Pacific Theatre, Pat possibly being sent to a German POW camp, receiving £10 from home, playing his first game of football since leaving hospital, no news from Bill, elections at home and asks after individuals within the family.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a postage stamp and censor's stamp. Written on YMCA/Active Service letterhead.
