Brief Description
Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 13 November 1943.

a) Bernard writes about receiving mail from home, Ray being shipped off to a Pacific island, reassuring his mother that the POW camp Pat was in was being guarded by Germans and was in good condition, a football match between New Zealander's and South Africans, Bob going on a weeks leave, Dick and O'Rourke staying in camp and attending a concert by Geraldo.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a postage stamp and censor's stamp. Written on YMCA/Active Service letterhead.
