a) Bernard writes about speculation that the war in Africa is nearly over, being back in hospital for a hernia, he fact that a few letters should be arriving soon in New Zealand and that surgery may be needed while in hospital. Addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censor's stamp
