a) Bernard writes about sending mail and gifts home for Christmas, a trip to Cairo with Bill and meeting cousin Pat, having football matches at camp, weather in the area, sending letters to himself and brother Pat, insurance policies, silk stockings, descriptions of Ramadan, a magic trick while eating at a restaurant and well wishes for the entire family.
Written on YMCA Maadi Hut/On Active Service letterhead.
b) Envelope addressed to Mrs P Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a postage stamp and censor's stamp.
