Brief Description
Letter from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 7 February 1943.

a) Bernard talks about having a poisoned finger as well as his arm in a sling, a review of the Eight Army by Winston Churchill in Tripoli, missing another review due to having injections on the same day, weather in the region, being camped on the edge of a cultivated region, attending a course in radio operating at Regimental Headquarters, an update on Napier individuals, how Bill has been told of US soldiers cavorting with New Zealand women, receiving mail from home, asks after other members of the family and gives well wishes.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier. Includes a censor's stamps and postage stamp. Signed by Bernard Madden acknowledging terms of sending post.
