Brief Description
Letter from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 26 December 1942.
a) Bernard talks about the long trip his unit has taken, Christmas dinner being served in the desert, receiving mail from home, meeting Howard Painter, an open air Mass and communion, Bill leaving for another gun crew in the same company and well wishes for the family.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier. Includes three censor's stamps, a censor's sticker and postage stamp. Signed by Bernard Madden acknowledging terms of sending post.
