Brief Description
Letter from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 24 January 1942.

Bernard writes about returning to Maadi from the Western Desert, being put on guard duty, no news to report about Pat and the weather in the region. Describes in detail a twelve hour trip from Palestine to Cairo, through Alexandria. Bernard also writes about not hearing from Bill or receiving any mail from home lately, being told by the armed forces to keep the amount of letters sent home to a minimum, meeting individuals from Napier at the camp and in the hospital and as well as sends wishes for the family.
