a) Bernard writes about receiving parcels from home and taking delivery of a parcel for Bill and Pat. Gives a detailed account of the trip from Egypt to Syria and Palestine. Bernard describes the local regions, currency and commercial ventures. States that Pat has been officially listed as a POW by the local paper.

b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censor's stamp and postage stamp.
