a) Bernard talks about his recent train ride to Palestine, being searched at the border, Bill staying in the area to give evidence at a court martial and details of the weather in the area.

Written on YMCA, National Patriotic Fund Board/Active Service letterhead.

b) Envelope addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes two censor's stamp and postage stamp.
