Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 26 July 1942.
a) Bernard writes about being graded fit for service and is heading out to Maadi the next day, the mail situation, a description of rail journeys through the Middle East, not to be anxious if a week or two is missed in hearing from him, asks after member of the family and wishes them well.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Envelope has two censor's stamps and a postage stamp. Written on YMCA/Active Service letterhead.
