Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 5 July 1942.
a) Bernard talks about a possible discharge next week, fighting in the Western Desert, men arriving with wounds at the hospital from the front, missing the Jerusalem trip but maybe going on another next week and not being able to send Pat Madden more tobacco.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Envelope has a censor's stamps and a postage stamp. Signed by Bernard Madden in regards to conditions for sending post.
