Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 19 July 1942.
a) Bernard talks about a possible discharge after a doctor's medical examination the next day, lack of arriving mail, Pat not being involved in the latest battles, an update on Dick, races within the camp for entertainment and the intention to write letters to Tom and Pat at some point.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Envelope has a censor's stamps and a postage stamp. Written on Church Army letterhead.
