Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 21 June 1942.
a) Bernard talks about taking leave in a nearby town, the mixture of troops in the area from all over the world, being pronounced fit for discharge from hospital, that Bill Madden had completed his ski course and had been promoted, weather in the region and the expectation of new mail.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censor's stamp and postage stamp. Signed by Bernard Madden accepting conditions for posting.
