a) Bernard writes about being in a convalescent depot in Palestine, the better conditions in the camp, how the Jewish community is managed, the difference between Arab and Jewish communities, how the hospital Bernard stayed at was funded by ex-pats, the return journey to Palestine through Beirut and Haifa, taking leave to go to Tel Aviv and Nazareth and the weather in the region. Written on YMCA letterhead.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censor's stamp and a postage stamp. Written on YMCA letterhead.
