Brief Description
Airmail letter from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier dated 17 January 1942.
Bernard talks about possible delays in mail service, heading back to a camp at Maadi, meeting Dick's brother in hospital, reports of the fighting in Libya on the radio and rumours of what is going to be done with the New Zealand Forces next. Bernard mentions that he will send Moira's beads along on the next surface mail shipment.
Addressed to Mrs P J Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Written on Airmail Letter Card. Includes a 2 pence stamp and a one pence stamp, postage stamp and censor's stamp.
