Brief Description
Airmail letter from Bernard Madden to his family in Napier circa October 1941.

Bernard writes about arriving in Egypt, not being in the same camp as Pat Madden, dust storms and pests in the desert, sharing a bivouac with Bill Madden, meeting Jim Neville before leaving Maadi, a fellow named Doidge meeting Bernard's father while on leave in Napier. Bernard also promises to write more often and sends best wishes to the family.

Addressed to Mrs P Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Written on Air Mail Letter Card with postage and censor stamp included.
