Brief Description
Letter and envelope from Bernard Madden to his family from Egypt dated October 1941.
a) Bernard writes about still being posted in the desert, temperatures as high as 120 degrees Fahrenheit, meeting a number of individuals from the Napier area, a lack of mail from home, priests at the camp, sports activities at the camp, hopes that the war will be over by 1942 and asks about the family.
b) Envelope is addressed to Mrs M Madden, 21 Macdonald Street, Napier, Hawke's Bay. Includes a censors stamp and postage stamp.
