Letter from Bernard Madden to his family from Egypt, 1941.
Bernard talks about sending photographs with Christmas cards, Bill Madden buying Egyptian souvenirs for Noeline, the All Blacks playing a game against the South Africans, asks after others who may have sent him letters since being at sea, snakes in the desert and states what he would like in parcels being sent to him. Also asks after family members.
Written on YMCA letterhead and listed as on active service. Includes a picture of Maadi Hut in top left corner.
