Brief Description
The letter written by William Colenso to Andreas Olsen was dated 6 December 1896. In the letter Colenso discusses his trip to Dannevirke to take church duty so that the Minister, Mr Robertshaw is able to visit the Weber district, and his visit to see Mrs Jones, whose husband, who drove the coach through Norsewood, had died suddenly. Colenso asks Andreas to thank his wife for her kind and loving invitation for him to visit the family. He thanks him for the fauna specimens he has sent and identifies them, discusses specimens he and Henry Hill had found, and lastly mentions his health. He mentions that he shall not see Othenius, Andreas's son during this trip.
