Brief Description
The postcard depicts a coloured painting showing a gentleman in a motor vehicle, sheep and a farmer. In the bottom left hand corner is an interpretation clause which reads: Art 1. The expression 'ass' includes a mule or other beast of burden, and the expression 'cattle' includes sheep. The artist's signature could read: Craig Crombie (difficult to read). On the back of the card is a handwritten note from Doris to Master Harding, Post Office, Akaroa, Canterbury in which she wishes Wilfred a Happy New Year. In the top right hand corner is a green half penny stamp. It is stamped 29 December 1908.
