Group portrait taken at Omatua, Rissington, on 3 February 1942 on the occasion of the 21st anniversary celebrations of the Women's Institute in New Zealand. The women have been identified as follows:
Back row, from right to left: Miss Lillie Large, Miss Beatrice Alice Corrigan, Mrs Annie Carmichael, Miss May Peddle, Mrs A Simpson, Mrs J Walker, Mrs A Todd, Miss Phyllis Walker, Mrs J McLean, Miss Joyce McLean, Mrs Gretchen Absolom, Mrs G McLean, and Mrs [Marie?] Ewart.
Front row, from left to right: Mrs Barbara Absolom, Mrs A Walker, Mrs [Ella Isabell?] Howell, Miss Anna Elizabeth Jerome Spencer, Mrs Amy Hadfield Hutchinson, Mrs Annie Mulqueeny, and Mrs Woodward.

Omatua Homestead can be seen in the background.

The photograph is presented on card. The inscription reads: Rissington Women's Institute 21st Anniversary 3 February 1942 held at Omatua. Presented to our Founder Miss A E J Spencer, OBE.
