About this object
A photograph of the dining room at Omatua Homestead in Rissington, Hawke's Bay. The photograph was taken in the aftermath of the Hawke's Bay earthquake of 3 February 1931. Earthquake damage is evident in the room. Bricks from the chimney pour out of the fireplace. Cracks are visible on the walls. A framed artwork above the mantelpiece hangs on an angle.

The photograph is housed in a scrapbook titled: History of Rissington Country Women's Institute.
