Brief Description
The postcard depicts a black and white photograph of the New Zealand International Exhibition, 1906 - 07, at Hagley Park, Christchurch. The exhibition opened on 1 November 1906 and the buildings covered 35 acres. The postcard is number 1 in the series and shows the main front view or entrance to the exhibition. The postcard is addressed to Mrs Harding, Opunake, Taranaki, and is from K Patterson. In the note he/she wishes Mrs Harding a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year and gives love to dear little Wilfred. It is dated 20 December 1906. There are two one penny stamps on the top right hand corner and they are franked: Wellington.
