Brief Description
The postcard depicts a coloured sketch of the New Zealand International Exhibition, 1906 - 07, Hagley Park, Christchurch. The exhibition opened on 1 November 1906 and the buildings covered 35 acres. The postcard is addressed to Mrs Harding, Opunake, Taranaki, North Island. The writer is not identified other than with the initials J M H. The writer thanks Mrs Harding for a photograph of Wilfred and comments that he is a bonny boy. He/she informs her that they are driving to Blenheim, asks how her mother is, and wishes her all the best for the New Year. The note is dated 22 December 1906. The postcard has a one penny stamp on the top right hand corner and is franked, Cheviot.
