Brief Description
Banner for the Patoka Country Women's Institute. The banner features a white rectangle on a blue background. The rectangle is divided into five areas, each containing a handpainted symbol: a pair of knitting needles with a red ball of wool; a pair of jars, one contains preserves, the other red jam; a pink rose; a loaf of bread; and a sewing pattern pinned to a piece of floral fabric with a pair of scissors. The words Patoka C.W.I. have been handpainted across the bottom of the banner. The bottom of the banner is decorated with a gold-coloured bullion fringe. The banner is suspended from a wooden pole and has a gold-coloured chord.

The banner was made and painted by Mrs Pamela Simcox in 1958.
