Brief Description
Group of papers relating to the history of the Napier Centre Country Women's Institute:

a) Letter to Mrs Betty Climo from Mrs Elizabeth Mulder, undated. In the letter, Mrs Elizabeth Mulder tenders her resignation from the Napier Centre Country Women's Institute.

b) Letter to Mrs Elizabeth Mulder from Mrs Betty Climo on behalf of the Committee of the Napier Centre Country Women's Institute, dated 28 May 1997. The letter accepts Mrs Mulder’s resignation from the position of Institute President and thanks her for her loyal service.

c) Certificate, Northern Hawke’s Bay Federation Country Women's Institute, Certificate of Appreciation for long and loyal service to the Institute movement. There are two copies of the certificate. Both remain blank. Undated.

d) Letter to Mrs Betty Climo from Betty J Avison, dated 25 April 1997. In the letter, Betty J Avison tenders her resignation from the Napier Centre Country Women's Institute.

e) Letter to Mrs Betty Climo from Betty J Avison, dated 12 September 1997. The letter thanks the members of the Napier Centre Country Women's Institute for the flowers and card that she had received.

f) Manuscript, titled: Napier Centre Country Women's Institute History 1956 – 1969. Written at the time of the Napier Centre Country Women's Institute’s thirteenth birthday, the document outlines the history of the Napier Centre branch. Among the topics discussed are the branch’s relationship with the Rissington Country Women's Institute, the inaugural meeting on 14 March 1956, people who have served on the committee, the first monthly meeting on 14 April 1956, and the activities of the branch.
