The New Zealand Rough Diary No. 3, 1917 belonged Maria Webb. In the front of the diary is a note that reads: Written by Maria until 1 July then one of the daughter's continued it - most likely to have been Edith. The family were very involved in Anglican church activities and these are part of the content. Visitors are listed and daily comings and goings of the community. Each day the weather is described and after 2 July, the well-being of Maria who is elderly and unwell. Small snippets of information are tantalisingly given such as on 30 July: Mother's 84th birthday and 15 June: Finished pair of socks for Willie Brabazon.
