Brief Description
The architectural plan is titled: Mt Herbert, Waipukurau, H B (Hawke's Bay).
The plan shows the north elevation, west elevation, east elevation, section A-B and the ground plan. The plan of the house contains the following rooms: maid's sitting room and bedroom, nursery, bathroom, passage, cloak room, kitchen, pantry, dumb waiter, china, silver and linen cupboards, storeroom, hall, vestibule, three bedrooms, washhouse, rooms for fuel and garden tools, and verandahs. There are three separate sketches showing the living room and ingle nook, the hall lights and the septic tanks. Written on the plan by Louis Hay is: These are the plans referred to in our agreed date this eighteen day of June 1912, C Haswell, contractor. Approximate cost is 1967 pounds without lighting.
