About this object
Hand printed poster advertising the first fashion show of the avant-garde fashion collective and boutique, Tigermoth. This event was held at Auckland's Mercury Theatre on 26 July 1973. Tigermoth was characterised by the strong connections between contemporary art, craft, design and fashion in the early 1970s, and several of its members went on to become important artists.

This poster was printed by Hartigan prior to his establishment of Snake Studios, an Auckland screen printing studio and design partnership between Hartigan and photographer Philip Peacocke.
