About this object
The photograph shows a rail bridge having repairs to bridge or fill after a washout. Probably taken in the Esk Valley in 1938 and belived to be at the location of Bridge 223a on the Napier-Gisborne line. There is a man standing in the middle of the line. A crane is at the far end of the line with a cable, which is attached to the front of the track. No 7 is written under the photograph.
