Pastel drawing of the Nurses' Home in Napier. The work shows the Spanish Mission style building soon after its completion and prior to the 1931 Hawke's Bay earthquake during which the building collapsed.

The work has the appearance of a dusk scene with a light visible in one of the windows and on the street.
