About this object
The glass plate negative is a group portrait of unidentified people at Tokaanu. The portrait shows four men, two women and two children. All are dressed in European clothing. The wāhine standing between the two men has been identified as Rangihaua or Rora. She is wearing a hei tiki. The negative has been taken outdoors. Tokaanu was a settlement located at the south end of Lake Taupo, five kilometres west of Tūrangi.
